Info
Whale Super Highway explores the mysteries of the humpback whale, following their epic migration from the coast of Western Australia to Antarctica and back again — one of the longest migrations on the planet.

Once hunted to the brink of extinction, humpback whales have made one of the greatest wildlife comebacks ever recorded. Today, more than 35,000 whales travel this vast ocean route each year. Stretching over 4,000 miles, the whale super highway runs from the breeding grounds off Western Australia to the rich feeding grounds of Antarctica.

What to expect

  • A powerful nature documentary focused on whale migration
  • Follow humpback whales along one of the longest migrations on Earth
  • Discover an ecological success story of conservation and recovery
  • Learn about the challenges still faced by whales today
  • Meet marine biologists as they search for answers on the open ocean
  • Insight into the contrasting fates of humpback whales and blue whales
  • Stunning ocean imagery and close‑up encounters

While humpback whales are thriving, the world’s largest mammal — the blue whale — travels these same waters and continues to struggle for survival, raising urgent questions about the future of our oceans.
