A hands‑on, creative workshop designed especially for young artists! In this playful session, children will explore collage and printmaking to create their own unique framed artwork to take home.

Young makers will start by designing and building a collage-style frame, choosing from a range of colourful materials, papers and textures. They’ll then experiment with a variety of simple, child‑friendly printing techniques to create an original artwork to place inside their frame. The focus is on having fun, exploring materials, and expressing creativity—no previous experience needed.

What to Expect

  • A warm, relaxed and supportive creative environment
  • Step‑by‑step guidance from a friendly workshop leader
  • Making a collage-style frame using papers and mixed materials
  • Exploring different printmaking techniques (such as block printing, textured printing and pattern making)
  • Lots of opportunity for creativity, experimentation and messy fun
  • One completed, framed artwork to take home

All materials are provided, and children are encouraged to work at their own pace.

Age Guidance

  • Suitable for children aged 5–8 years
  • Activities are tailored to this age group with simple techniques and close guidance
  • Younger children may need occasional assistance with cutting or printing
  • Parents/carers are welcome to stay nearby if their child needs support, but the session is designed for children to take part independently

Please dress children in clothes that can get a little messy, or bring an apron.
