Live & Later - Open Mic with D'arcy Shaw

Thu 9 Jul 2026 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM Liskeard Library, PL14 6AB

Spoken Word & Poetry Night at The Liskeard Library

What to Expect!

A warm, welcoming atmosphere filled with stories, poetry, and performance that will leave you inspired.

Join us for an evening centred on Growth.

A night of spoken word and poetry about becoming, slowly, imperfectly, honestly. Growing pains and quiet progress. Outgrowing old versions of yourself. Starting again. Some pieces will be about pushing forward, others about softening into who you already are.

It is a warm, open room. Honest words, real moments, people actually listening.

Bring something if you want to share, or just come and sit with it.

About Our Headliner

D’arcy Shaw is an up and coming spoken word poet originally from the Midlands; she has travelled across the UK pursuing a career in performing and writing. From Leeds to Liskeard D’arcy is now working to create spoken word that resonates with a wider audience by using poetry to talk about the taboo. D’arcy creates work with a large focus on mental health, relationships and her own experiences in the hopes that she can create a safe space for people to feel heard and understood.
